‘Cork: a Healthy City in a Changing Climate‘

Public Seminar, discussion and local actions workshop

 ‘Cork a Healthy City in a Changing Climate?’ focuses on the science of climate change actions possible at city level to develop a local action plan for Cork City. This plan will be incorporated into the Cork Healthy Cities Action Plan and the Cork City Council Climate Adaptation Implementation Plan. 

This is a collaboration between Cork Healthy Cities, the Environmental Research Institute UCC, the Environmental Protection Agency, SHEP Earth Aware and EcCoWeLL Cork.

 The first of it’s kind in Cork City this seminar is designed to be interactive, with a combination of presentations by experts and practitioners in Public Health and the Environment. The event will include a number of talks by experts in the area of climate change and health, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A, chaired by Dr Margaret Desmond, Senior Manager, Climate Services, EPA.
