The challenges that have emerged for high and low density cities, transport systems and public spaces in the COVID-19 era present opportunities to re-image city spaces.

On Thursday June 25th from 14:30 – 16:30 IST/09:30-11:30 EDT we will be hosting a webinar to bring together urbanists, architects, innovators and trailblazers from Ireland and the US to share their insights on what our cities can be for their citizens and why now is the perfect time to accelerate innovation

  • David Vega-Barachowitz, a New York-based urban design expert and an Associate at WXY Studio
  • Noel Dempsey former Irish Minister for Transport, now the Chair of the Temple Bar Company, the ‘city within a city’ in Dublin
  • Claudia Hoareau Gichuhi, a Kenyan/Irish/Creole Diversity and Inclusion expert and Board Member of theIrish Network against Racism (INAR)
  • George Boyle an award winning architect and social innovator and the Founder of George Boyle Designs and the Fumbally Exchange (FEx)
  • Denise Cahill leader of the WHO’s Healthy Cities in Cork, a designated city since January 2012.
  • Daibhí MacDomhnaill, Head of Landscape Design at Irish homebuilders Cairn Plc.
