Overview
The Fairhill Fairfield Community Association envisions a community that residents and non-residents consider a desirable place to live and enjoy the benefits of family, friends and community. To achieve this, we will endeavour to promote and facilitate employment and education. Due to the high youth population and youth dependency ratio in Fairhill, we will emphasize youth participation and continue to adopt a full integration policy in all of the Association’s activities and promote an inclusive environment within our community. This emphasis on youth participation should organically result in empowerment within the community while also addressing various of the recommendations in the 2019 Carl Research Report undertaken by UCC.
The Community Association will conceive a conscious effort to deliver outcomes that benefit the community through social, economic and environmental means, therefore, adding social value to the community. We aim to enhance the quality of life and sense of community in Fairhill through effective and efficient management of the Community Association. The sustainability of the Community Association and it’s work will depend upon this effective management. We will strive to be as efficient and effective as possible while meeting all Governance requirements.
We place huge value on Fairhill becoming a socially cohesive community so will work to evade the disadvantaged label by working towards the wellbeing of the community, fighting marginalization and creating a sense of belonging and pride within our community.
