Civil Society Consultation Meeting
on Ireland’s periodic report to the Committee for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD)

Nano Nagle Place, The Ash Room, Douglas Street (click for map)
03 September, 15:00 – 17:00

In November 2019, the United Nations will assess Ireland’s progress in ending racial discrimination and make recommendations for action under the UN Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Racial Discrimination (CERD).

In parallel to the Irish government’s official CERD submission, ENAR Ireland will submit a parallel report on how Ireland is meeting its international legal obligations to combat racial discrimination. This report provides an opportunity to have your say on racism and discrimination in Ireland and to make recommendations for positive change.

Nasc and ENAR are co-hosting a public consultation in Cork, facilitated by Dr Lucy Michael and Rola Abu-Zaid O’Neill. The outcome of this consultation will directly inform ENAR’ s parallel report.

If you are unable to participate but would like to contribute your views and observations, you can fill in the CERD Reporting Template by Monday 02 September, 17:00. Click the link CERD Reporting Template
