Draft National Volunteering Strategy 2020 – 2025

This consultation will update the Government’s ‘White Paper on a Framework for Supporting Voluntary Activity and for Developing the Relationship between the State and the Community and Voluntary sector’ (2000) and the subsequent ‘Tipping the Balance’ (2002) report by the National Committee for Volunteering. The purpose of this Strategy is to recognise, support and promote the unique value and contribution of volunteers to our society. The aim is to put the best possible supports and infrastructure in place so that volunteers and volunteer bodies continue to prosper and that the volunteering needs of present and future generations will be met.
