The Changing Face of Cork City is a free photographic exhibition, located throughout the beautiful grounds and gardens of Nano Nagle Place, documenting the architecture and social life of the rebel city over the last 75 years.

The exhibition, has been inspired by the city boundary expansion in May 2019 and is described as a photographic love letter to 75 years of the social, cultural and architectural history of Cork, .

An extensive cultural programme is linked to the exhibition, with events in July including,

  • A revival of the famous Lobby Bar in the Goldie Chapel, with musical performances on Friday evenings in July, 19:30 (€15, booking required)
  • A series architectural walks featuring a different decade every Thursday in July, 17:00 (€10, booking required)
  • Storytelling in the Meadow with Maria Gillen from Cork Yarnspinners, every Sunday afternoon in July, 14:00 (free, no booking required)
  • Maker’s Club in partnership with the Cork Printmakers for ‘Makers’ between 8 & 12 years, every Saturday in July, 13:30 (€4, booking required)
